What To Do When The Surgery Is Closed

Call the out-of-hours service on 111.

This service is provided from 18:30 each evening until 08:00 the following working day and also operates at weekends and on all bank/ public holidays.

For many problems telephone advice may be all that is needed, but if it is decided that you need to see a doctor, then you will be asked to attend a GP On-Call Centre.

Please note that home visits are only for those who are too ill to travel.

Visit Your Walk-In Centre

Patients can also attend your local Walk-In Centre organised by UC24:
Old Swan Walk-In Centre,
St Oswald's Street,
Liverpool  L13 2GA

Tel: (0151) 285 3565

Open Monday to Friday 07:00 – 22:00  and weekends 09:00 – 22:00.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In an Emergency

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
